For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

A school marriage
It has been a while. My fiancé is now in A School in good ole Pcola, Florida. Getting through basic was a challenge, but definitely worth the rewarding feeling in the end. Him and I are super excited about getting married. He already has his station orders for vA beavh which is such a blessing. My question is should we wait until he is one with A school in about 3 weeks or get married during?

Because he already has orders, you will not be added to them for the move to his new duty station. Unless you live near him in FL. it would make little sense to fly down there to marry. If he's coming home on leave, it would make financial sense to wait until then.
A school marriages tend to be so the new spouse can move herself to the school, or to be "on the orders". He already had orders, so too late for that, they will not change them now.

Okay! So another reason we were thinking about getting married in A school was so the BAH would go through before we moved to Virginia Beach. However, it seems as though that wouldn't be the case if we waited to get married while on leave because then he couldn't get the papers to base until he reported after his leave? He says he put in a request to talk to the chaplin two days ago so hopefully this week we will know more. As far as if we get married while on leave versus A school when moving to VA we can decide to do that on our own expense until the BAh kicks in correct? Sorry so many questions..

It would be quicker the sooner you marry. And the BAH will be backdated from the day you married, not the day he gets the paperwork in (Pretty sure of that). So whatever works financially sounds like it would be your best choice.
He should ask his personal property office there if he's eligible for a household goods move from his home of record to his new duty station. He might be. But he needs to ask NOW.
