My boyfriend graduates bootcamp next month, September 21st. His job is Corpsman and I know that he will have school in San Antonio. But my question is will he attend the first part of A school in Great Lakes? He told me that he would before he left for bootcamp, I think but I dont remember. Anybody out there with a Corpsman in or already gone through A School that could answer this for me? Its important that I know ASAP as I am planning to stay in GL the whole weekend of PIR if he doesnt have to depart the next day, and am currently trying to make travel arrangements. Thanks ladies! :)

Corpsman school is in San Antonio, he won't have any training in Great Lakes and will head right to his "A" School in TX, most likly the day after PIR.
ONLY your recruit will know when he leaves for schooling, and he will only know a week beofre PIR
Ok, so most likely I should just plan to head home the day after he graduates?
Yeah, that's what I decided Im gonna do. Believe it or not just a few mins after I posted this discussion, I got my first phone call from him! It was so exciting, I was shaking, lol. Such a relief to hear his voice after a whole month.I told him about it and we decided I would stay til Sunday just in case.
