My husband and I celebrated seven years last weekend and he left the 4th for bootcamp The 5th was our actual anniversary.I received his box and then missed a call I didnt expect a call and could tell he was upset. He understood since I was at work (like always).I was wondering if anyone else had spouses or BF's in bootcamp right now?
I also have a question. Would it be weird to leave a message to him in my phone even though everyone who calls will I don't want him to be discouraged if I don't answer?Oh and if your loved one is in bootcamp how many people slept with the clothes from the box?lol.I cried myself to sleep cuddled up with his shirt.

Hi! That's true...you're not alone! I've been with my husband for 8 years...always together.
He left almost 4 weeks ago.Is still in BC and graduates next month. This last week was so sad...even after I got his letters.
At least you will have support here! It helps A LOT!
And about the clothes...lol...I washed all the clothes but the shirt he was wearing the day he left is here with me and I'll only wash it the day he's back!
My boyfriend of two years left on the 4th also! On the 5th, I did get his, "I'm here" call, but it was a short 30-second scripted call. Don't beat yourself up about missing his call! I am sure he understands. I think that is a great idea to leave him a sweet little message for when he calls. I know it is tough. I have written him a letter every day. He is going to have a huge stack of letters once we get his address. :) We lived together, so I know it's tough not being able to see each other every day and talk every day. Maybe our sailors will have the same PIR date. Keep me updated!
You're definitely not alone. My boyfriend gave me his Navy shirt he got for PT from his recruiter to wear. I think I got about 2 hours of sleep that night because I was so upset. Lol.
So thankful for all the responses ladies.I feel like I have no support and no one understands what I'm going through. You ladies made me feel lots better.
I think it's a great idea. It lets him know that you are still thinking of him. I would also let my work know what's going on. i know a lot of places will be understanding about keeping the phone on.
