Hi guys, I'm new here. My boyfriend of three years (and hopefully fiance soon) left for basic on Nov. 19 and so far I've been writing him a letter every night. A few questions that maybe some of you more experienced ladies can answer for me: How long will it be before I get his address so I can mail all my letters? When will he be able to start writing to me? And, is there anything off-limits that I shouldn't write in my letters? I want to be really mushy and romantic but I don't want him to get made fun of or anything. I have no idea how this works and I'm freaking out a little. Thanks in advance for your help!

I know you posted this like 3 weeks ago...but...

I sent 3 or more pictures...every week, and my husband said they never opened it! But im sure thats completely based on who goes through the mail and such...
Keep writing!!! I didnt get an address for 2 weeks, it might have even been three, and shortly after that, i received my first letter! GIRL, be as MUSHY as you want! Honestly, they need it, the only thing he MIGHT get fun of for, is the color of paper, scent, etc....I kissed every letter, and my husband loved it...so dont worry! :) Enjoy your writing, because it really will make your relationship grow! Dont freak, be yourself, and keep the same relationship that you had when he left...dont hide anything!!!!! It will be over before you know it!

:) Thank you! Yeah, after the first few days I thought, "screw it," and I've been writing the same way I talk to him (which isn't always appropriate...) He made me promise to write on plain paper so I'm covered in that department. The form letter came in last Saturday so I'm hoping to get a letter from him soon!! Maybe it's this website or maybe it's just that I'm getting the hang of this, but I'm not as freaked out as I was before. I actually feel pretty happy. I just can't wait for his graduation! Anyway, thanks again!

I'm new to this to. My fiance left for basic Nov 27. i started writing him letters to. from what i heard as long as its appropriate it should be fine. and i want to be romantic an mushy to. i dont think he will get in trouble. and if he does get made fun of. i would think its cause they're jealous. I would probably just not get to personal i'm sure u will be fine.
