My husband left on Oct 24th. I was informed that we wouldnt be receiving any BAH by his recruiters. Is this correct?

BAH is suppose to cover with you should need to live on, not actually WHAT you need. In some places its less then what it should be, in you situation its more then what it should be.
Hi, I have a question about BAH. Our October to November BAH with dependent was based on Hawaii's zip code (where I reside), and for some reason this month it changed to Great Lakes zip code. My husband is an E3 currently living in BEQ Great Lakes for A school as an FC. I am still living in Hawaii. What location should our BAH be based?
I answered in a PM, but I will put it here too so others can see it.
The usual situation with sailors in training is the zip code used is where the dependents reside. Once they get orders, it switches to their new duty station.
What I'm guessing is that because FC A school is so long, and a dependent move is authorized, they switched the BAH to the lower Great Lakes rate. A long school does count as orders. The Navy is cracking down on geographical bachelors, plus an E-3 is not allowed to have dependents OCONUS/overseas ... and Hawaii falls into that category. You may be a victim of regulations.
He does need to talk to PSD as soon as he can, although they're likely on holiday stand down too. Good luck, and let me know if my guess was right, or if they just made a mistake.
(I wouldn't move to Great Lakes from Hawaii either. Glakes sucks in winter. Hawaii does not suck, except for cost of living.)
