Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

BAH with Dependents while in BootCamp?
Hi new friends.
I joined this group to hopefully get a bit of clarity. I have received so many conflicting reports, but I was wondering if my hubs will receive BAH while in bootcamp. He's leaving me (wifey) and son while he trains and then to A-C school. I am just a type A/control freak and trying to plan our lives and finances while he's away, so I wanted to know if anyone had any information or knows where I can find said info, or has experienced this themselves. I appreciate any help. :)

Yes, he will receive BAh at the with dependents rate while in boot camp and A school. It can take a couple pay cycles for it to go through, so do not be surprised if it is not included in his first check. He has to be there approximately three weeks before the deposits begin. BAH is not taxed, but his base pay will be. Expect a lump sum payment dated back to the day he shipped out, after that, BAH is divided into the first and the fifteenth pay days. It can take a little while to settle down. You will see FSA, family separation allowance, after 30 days. $250, and it will be pro-rated to a daily date for any period less than a month.
