Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Hey Shelby! I don't know too much about C school, but maybe you can help me understand it a little better? My boyfriend graduates basic on 8/17/12 (yay!) And he will be going to A School in Great Lakes and he is also in the reserves. However, I had someone tell me that if they are in the reserves, they don't need C School...help? I'm trying to understand this. What is your sailor's job?? Because if it's the same thing, it will help me understand this more. I appreciate you help! (Sorry I couldn't help out).

Depending on what your sailors job is, he might not need C school. My sailor didnt know if he would or not until he got to A school. He's in Dam Neck for IS, his C school is only a couple weeks and through him and other sailors, we were told that he could drive home the day after graduation. How long is your sailors A school?
