While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

First Move and I'm so LOST!!!
HELP!!! Ok so my husband is coming home in 4 weeks for leave and then we will be making our first move to San Diego, CA. We live with his parents so we don't have much to pack. Just our little room. I'm pretty sure most of our clothes we'll pack in a suitcase and take it with us but our television, bed, computer etc. How do I pack those? We don't have housing in SD yet so who do I send my things too. I live in Hawaii so I know that they will probably get shipped to San Diego and does anyone know how long it will take? Or when I should start packing? Am I stressing for nothing lol? Anyone who can help me I would be so grateful

It depends what knd of move you are doing...is the USN moving you? Where you married before he got orders?
If the USN is moving you, which I HIGHLY recommend as you are in HI...you don't pack a thing! They will pack it all...make sure you empty the trash as they will pack that also.
Your husband needs to set up the move, he goes to housing office in San Diego and they will give him the info he needs. IT is all down on line, and they could be booking as far out as a few months from now for the move.

When I was little, they packed the macaroni salad the wives club brought ot mom so she wouldn't have to cook on moving day. I still have the Fire King bowl it was in.
Be sure all your luggage and important papers are locked in the car trunk where they can't be accidentally packed. I knew someone who had her purse packed.

If for some reason they can't move for you, keep all your receipts in a bag from the move and you can file a claim later and be reimbursed for expenses...
