Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed.  Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Getting married and moving from Tennessee to Washington State...help!!!!

Ok, so my fiance' and I will be getting married in March of next year when he returns home on leave from a seven month deployment. We are both stressed trying to figure everything out. The biggest thing is housing. We know there is almost always a wait for housing on base, so he is going to try to find an apartment there in Washington State before coming home and marrying me. We are both hoping he can find a place, otherwise I will have to stay in Tennessee unitl he does. Does anyone have any advice or suggestions on finding a place quickly? And also, do we have to be married before he applies for housing on base?? How soon can he enroll me in deers?? He only has three to four months before he deploys again, so we aren't working with much time. Also, does anyone know if the navy will move a dependent since he is already stationed in Washington?? I hate the thought of having to move across the country, but if that's what I have to do I will. Any advice or suggestions will be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks

He can not apply for base housing until he is married.

He can enroll you in deers as soon as you are married.

The USN will not pay to move you as you got married after he was at his duty station.

I would look at apartment hunting sights forrent.com and rent.com are two I think. Thats how I did mine. get to know wives over there already and ask them for advice for yes and no areas. By the bases up here they are really nice and helpful and understand military situations. I had an apt paid for by the time my husband came home from leave between A school and reporting. so by the time I got up here we had a place to move in. It worked perfect. We ended up getting a place supposedly in the ghetto (if it can even be considered that!) bc I had soo many problems getting ahold of anyone connected with his ship they had just got back from a deployment and all the ombudsman and family readniess ppl were switching out. I would say add his ombudsman on fb if possible just shoot them a message and explain your situation and they can give you advice and help you out. They cant give you specific details abt the ship but abt the area and where and where not to live they can. Also look on craigslist. Some apts post their specials on their so you will know who is having free month rent, etc.

He can enroll you into Deers as soon as the two of you are married. The same goes for base housing. He should have access to www.ahrn.com, Its a website from the military that list houses available to rent in the area and some surrounding areas. I'm not sure if they would pay for you to move or not. But I hope that helps.
