Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Graduation and so many questions!
So, my fiance will be graduating August 1st at Great Lakes and I am about to start planning my trip. One big question left in the air is how long I should stay. Does anyone know how graduation works? I have read so many different things from lots of people and I am lost as to this process.
- After they graduate and they meet you on the floor, do they have any time to spend with you?
- Are they allowed to leave base and just be back by curfew?
- After graduation day ends, do they go straight to A school or do they get a few days still having curfew, but are allowed to leave base and spend time with their family?
I want to make sure I plan my flight accordingly and would feel terrible if I only came the day before and the day of and then find out he has 2 days to spend however, as long as he is back by curfew? He didn't even seem to be able to give me a clear answer, or maybe just didn't understand the question, so I figured who would be better to ask then those who have already gone through a graduation process!!!! Thanks for all your help guys!!!

Ashley, do you know if your fiancée will be staying in Great Lakes for A School? If so, he will have about an hour to spend with you after graduation and then will report to transfer his stuff back to his new barracks. After that, we will be able to come out that Friday, Saturday and Sunday until curfew. I would buy a refundable ticket, that way you can change the date if needed. I suggest flying in Thursday and leaving Sunday if he is staying in Great Lakes for school. I hope that helps!

If you don't know where his A school is, what rating (job) did he sign up for? The schools are in very specific locations.
