For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

He Left Two Weeks Ago!
Hello, my boyfriend of three years left for basic two weeks ago, i've heard nothing from. No letters and no calls since he got there. I've found myself oddly obsessed with anything Navy and have done lots of research trying to figure out when i'll be able to have some sort of communication. I'm just dying for information, need a little advice from ladies that have been through his before, and have millions of questions! Really anything would help.

I went through this with my boyfriend of 4 years last year. It will be really tough for both of you but stay strong. Make sure you always stay positive I'm your letters, and make sure to let him know how much you miss him and love him. My boyfriend said that was one thing that helped him a lot. Knowing how much I missed him and couldn't wait to see him made him know I'd be there through it all. Stay strong! :)

They are allowed the first phone call when they arrive, 30sec script "I'm here & I'm safe" call. If your bf has parents, you might want to check if he called them. About a week after that I received "the box". Then about a week after (2 weeks total) I received the form letter with his address & PIR date. The first couple of weeks were the longest weeks of my life! It was very hard not hearing anything, like he just vanished. From then on I could mail him letters. Midway through I got a 10 min phone call. I was so happy & we were both emotional. The next call I'm waiting for should happen around week 7, when he calls to say he's a sailor! It is a tough thing to go through & you're not alone. I too searched all over the web to find out as much as I could (& still learning) so I can support him. Just stay strong. Write to your bf, (letters are very comforting to them), & count down the days.

Hey all you strong navy women.. my husband left monday.. and I just got a call from him.. a very short call infact .. hes said he made it safely and such.. and ill be getting his things in the mail.. it sure was nice to hear his voice .. but it makes me a emotiona wreck.... I want to be strong and happy for "Us" but its so hard.. considering we just had a beautiful baby girl june 11th.. and hes been here with us.. and to not have him around is devastating .. I feel so lost.. and alone.. just need to find ways or thing to keep my mind focused on something else.. I just dont know what to do..

Once you get his mailing address it gets a little easier because you can write to him. You may not get his first letter until after the 2nd week. Those were the longest days for me, hearing nothing from my SR was very difficult as well. You sound like a strong person. Keep focus on your baby girl, find strength with the support of your family, friends, & us here so you can in turn be supportive to your husband. He's going to need to know you & your daughter are ok. Hang in there. Time will go by fast even though it won't feel like it. -
