For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

I am on prime. Pretty much, any specialist I need must be seen on referral from my PCM on base. If Tricare sends a handbook to you, it will outline what is and is not covered. But basically, you don't get to decide, a doctor in the system has to diagnose and refer. First step is to get a Tricare approved primary care manager. Tricare can help you with that, tomorrow is a business day and you can call to start the process.

I know you said you wrote them a message, but best way to get everything figured out and made sure it is set, is to call them and talk to them. they have to assign you a primary doctor first like anti m said. from there you can get referrals. but I would defiantly call them and get it all set up :)

I am on prime and I had this surgery. You must see your PCM who will refer you to a plastic surgeon. The plastic surgeon will write the consultation and submit it to TriCare for approval. They only approve the surgery for medical reasons. They do not cover the surgery for cosmetic reasons. From the first visit to my PCM to my surgery date was roughly four months. I did not pick my surgeon nor did I pick my resulting size. TriCare has guidelines as to how many grams of tissue have to be removed. I had no out of pocket costs. TriCare paid for everything even all of the follow up care that was required.
