Hello Everyone!

My name is Tanya, I am 21 years old and Ive been dating my boyfriend for the past 5 years. He has enlisted in the Navy, has went through boot camp and he's currently in A school in Pensacola. Im going through a rough time because he is my best friend and we dont have much time to speak. Sometimes i find myself getting upset and i even feel bi polar bc i miss him so much and i just need to just talk to him sometime..he just got his orders and is going to be stationed in San Diego, Im currently in the process of changing my major in college so Im working at the moment while i figuere out what I want to do, I want to be closer to him but not sure if i should also move to san diego. I turn to this group for support when I'm having my horrible days. I PRAY that you some of you and I can build a good friendship because lord knows i need help during this time. Im so supportive of my sailor, i just need someone to support me some times.

Hey Jonie!

YES! I carry letters everywhere that I go to keep him close to me. Yea its very bumpy. Everyday I tell him how much i love him and i am proud of what he's doing. I know how it feels to feel broken and put up a front like everything is okay so they dont worry, its hard but we are stronger than we all think. If you ever need me, Im here!

Thank You So Much!!

xoxo Tanya

i got your friend request. same to you on needing anything. what is your sailor going to be doing in the navy? mine is a MA-master at arms.

Hey! Thank You, I just messaged you on the chat.

Hi Tanya,

San Diego is great and I have no doubts you would love it out here BUT it is not a move to make lightly, depending on where you currently live it can be very expensive. There are tons of great schools out here you can enroll in once you decide which direction you want to go in with your education. Again, schools in CA are very expensive and you'll have to pay out of state tuition if you decide to move out here. Also, what if you move out here and your boyfriend deploys right away? Then you'll be out here all alone.

Not trying to discourage you just giving you other things to consider. On that note, many couples do choose to get married to receive the benefits but if you're not ready rushing is the worst thing you can do. If he was not in the military, would you consider getting married now?

Hello!

And I think that I'm going to study over here in NY where I am now and concentrate on getting my degree here and then possibly moving to CA to find a job there, Im studying to be an EKG Tech. I would consider marriage now but I am older than my boyfriend I am 21 and he is 18, so he's still young so Im not sure :(

Hey girl,

& Yes we are in similar situations and God its so rough being so far away from someone you love so much. And my sailor is always busy on duty and everything. It hard when i dont get to speak to him and the crazy thing is I'm getting use to it, and thats not good. Sometimes im just so depressed, i go to bed and wake up with the same feeling of just loneliness. :/ Ahh but i have to be strong.

Thank you for your support and i am always here for you as well <3

Hey girl!

I havent been on in a while. But yeah, I would imagine it is expensive :( I think that I'm going to study over here in NY where I am now and concentrate on getting my degree here and then possibly moving to CA to find a job there, Im studying to be an EKG Tech. I was talking in the group chat and someone brought up that
I should think about moving to CA when my sailor returns from deployment. So Im thinking about that. Sometimes i get frustrated because I cant talk to him alot and when I do I kind of get upset but I forget that its not his fault that he's busy. I guess im still adjusting to him being in the navy. =/ I just miss him so much..

i get upset with my sailor to sometimes but i know its not his fault. i am working on staying calm and not thinking of the worst things everytime i dont get a reply right away. crazy how one decision can affect us in so many different ways. it has really taught me patience which i am not good at!!!

Girlll!!!

My patience sucks as well :( It sucks but stay stronggggg <3
