Is your husband going to NOSC Denver? www.Buckley.AF.mil

Select the newcomers tab on the right hand side. There is information on housing on the right.

Hello! I actually am living here now, right on the border of Denver/Aurora... Youre gonna be blown away by your housing options. The base here is not navy though, its air force. You can use the DOD AHD (Just google it) to set up an account and find referrals for housing that is DOD approved (as in clean and safe). But non-military

hi! thats great! how do you enjoy it? thats good to know housing options are good then! online while looking i couldnt find a darn thing! haha i know its a AFB so i know its diff then navy.. are you living in military housing? or non? if so how do u like it? he isnt to report till jan-feb because hes going to C school first

Well, I'm only temporarily living here with my mother while my husband is in school. But we were just discussing how many really nice and totally affordable apartment complexes there are. Out of curiosity I looked into the BAH to compare it to the pricing here and you can definitely get a great place. Aurora can have patchy areas, but theyre very isolated and outside of them there are lots of nice beautiful neighborhoods. I have a 2 year old and the area itself has so much to do between parks and museums. Aurora is literally a 5-10 minute drive into denver depending on where you live. Denver has fantastic food, shopping etc. Also you're only a 2 hour drive from being up on the top of the mountains in Vale. Where are you all moving here from?

oh how neat! well we are from CA originally... but our son who is also 2, moved up here (WA) in dec while my husband is away at A school and soon to be C school. Thats great to know about all the  parks and museums, co has to offer! we were looking more into a house than an apt, just bc we want yard space and a dog or two.But your right, CO does have some patchy areas but what state docent nowadays..Also coming from CA were everything is so pricy, CO has great deals on homes :))

thank you for all the info!

Just be sure you're looking at rentals, not homes for sale.  There are both listed.

Ahrn is a good place too look :)
