they should have sent it to you as it should read - SR Doe, John

Naval Recruit Training Command (or you can put NRTC)

Ship 07 Div 245

Street name

Great Lakes, IL .......

My daughter typed up the address and we put it on labels so we wouldn't have to rewrite it over and over.  It worked great and we wrote every day pretty much without fail until we flew to Il ourselves.  Write often - it means more to them than you know and it takes a while to hear back so don't get discouraged - when you get a letter you will get about a weeks worth at a time!

yeah i have already wrote 6 or 7 letters and a couple of my friends have wrote too. I just cant wait to get his letter to me. his mom gave me the addres over the phone when i was at work i wasnt sure if i was forgeting anything, one thing she didnt tell me was to put Naval Recruit Training Command
also i have been that ppl put number after the Great Lakes IL 60088, Idk  what that is? his mom didnt tell me any numbers after 60088.

ok - this is how ours read - sr doe, john a

Ship 07 Div 245

Recruit Training Division

3505 Sailor Drive (although this may be different for you)

Great lakes, IL 60088-3505

(That was his return address - I know that we addressed to NRTC with everything else the same)

yeeah i have everything except for the four numbers after 60088. Will that be a problem?
it shouldn't be but it should also be the 4 numbers of his street number.  He will get it even without those 4 numbers.
oh ok thanks so much i just wrote out all my envolopes and going to put them in the mail tomorrow. Is it ok that i stuck a different letter in to different envolopes, like i wrote 8 letters and i stuck them all in there own envolope.
thats fine - thats probably how you will get yours from him - several at a time in one envelope.  We did that too - wrote several letters and mailed them together
