I miss my guy terribly. He left last Wed Jan 18th. I just got his box and Ship/Division info. Im still waiting on the letters to start coming. I've been writing him everyday but I honestly dont know what to say. I need a conversation to happen between us. I can only say I miss and love him so many times. I tell him about my day and ask him questions about how things are there.
Can anyone tell me how long it normally takes after the box arrives for the letters to start? Also his graduation date is March 16th. I know he will have liberty over the weekend but he will be starting Dive Prep and staying in GL right after BC. Will he get any extra liberty due to him not shipping out somewhere else?

I know how hard it is to wait but it may still be a few week! My boyfriend arrived at basic 1/5 and we got his box the following wednesday and his form letter that thursday! I just received his first letter (actually 3 in the same envelope) yesterday the 25th! So 20 loooonngg days after he left lol!!
really? I got his box, we live in AZ. His mom got his form letter, she is in NC. We have been friends for 7 years and together for almost 4 years now and I'm used to him being gone due to his work b4 he joined the Navy but I'm not used to not being able to talk to him. He always called or texted in the am and throughout the day when he was out of town. I'm still waking up and reaching for him or hearing my phone in my sleep when it hasn't actually gone off
I guess I'll just keep writing to him and hopefully my letters keep him entertained when he gets them. Atleast you got 3 letters in the same envelope. Can we send them empty envelopes and stamps. I was told not to send anything but letters and a few photos that fit in a regular envelope.
Yeah I almost text my bf this morning!! haha then I remembered! It's hard and the waiting is the hardest part! I drove myself crazy waiting for the mail but it was exactly 21 days before I got one. He said he got all of my letters on the 19th. so they don't get yours for a while either! You can send them empty envelopes and stamps but I doubt he needs them.. unless he asks for them I wouldn't worry about it! My boyfriend must have bought a notebook or something there because he is writing on regular notebook paper.
Yea my man left with just a little notebook we put important address's in. Everything except that and his Id's and $50 came back to me. His phone was missing the battery (not sure why). uhhhh I guess its a good thing I work during the day. The mail man would hate me if I was home all day.
Whats your man contracted for?
right now he is supposed to be going to Groton, CT for electronics technician unless that changes then that is what he will be doing!
Im not looking forward to the next year, but I know we are strong and we will make it through and it will make us stronger. At least when he is in A-school I will be able to go see him. His school is in Panama City Beach Fl, Im excited about that b/c I'm from Fl. So I will be able to go see him and be close to home.
Hey girls! My boyfriend told me that some of his boot camp buddies' girlfriends and wives have found each other either on this website or on facebook. He's in ship 04 division 807 so this looks like the right place?
Keenan - please private message me. A lot of us girls have gotten a hold of each other on this page and we also keep in contact on facebook. We mostly chit chat on the facebook page.
