For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

In need of help
My fiance and I are wanting to get married after he graduates C school. We were told by a retired navy member you get 30 days between stations to move your significant other. Does this apply? I am going insane cause I cannot choose a date. I am shooting for June 6th but he graduates May20th. Any advice?

I don't know what the retired Sailor you spoke to is referring to, but when he finishes C school he will get his orders for his duty station and have a report by date. He will have to request leave, it's not automatically granted, and I don't know what rate your fiancé is but I do not personally know of anyone who has gotten 30 days of leave between duty stations.
Also, if you wait until AFTER he gets his orders for his next duty station to get married, you will not be on them & the Navy will not pay to move you to his duty station. I don't know how important that is to you guys, but he will not get any time off to move you since you will not be on his orders. -

She is right you will not be on his orders if you get married after c-school and most likely they will not move you. The command he gets sent to can also change the unaccompanied orders to accompanied at their discretion.
We got married after he was already at his command and they did move us. I do not know how it happened exactly. I think it had something to do with him not having them bring his stuff here after he got to his command (not sure though), but we got moved. -

He still qualified for a move as an unaccompanied sailor, maybe he used that. Paying for your travel would have been the big difference. Very unusual, but yay when it happens. Good for you!
Long ago, when returning from overseas, I got 30 days, but that was the old home leave program. Right out of C school means report right away. They may give him a week or two of leave on his request.
Realistically, you do not choose your wedding date, the Navy does. That is why so many of us are courthouse brides. -
