Today is exactly 3 weeks since my recruit left to bootcamp, he left on Oct. 2 to be exact, and ever since then, i had been checking my mail every single day...but nothing, and today, i go and check, not expecting to get anything, and there they were, the letters i had been waiting for! surprisingly there was 12, along with a beautiful poem, i couldnt believe it and as soon as i started reading them i started to cry...tears of joy ofcourse...all he kept saying was how much he missed me and how bad they treat them:-/ that makes me sad but we both knew it wasnt going to be easy, all i wanted to know was that he was okay and that he hadn't forgotten about me, and by the looks of it, he definitely hasn't forgotten, so finally, today i'm at peace...so those of you who haven't received anything yet, just hang in there, i know how you feel, i was dying, but when the day comes, its gonna be an amazing feeling...we can do this!!

Yay glad you got mail. I remember when I was in week 3 complaining about my lack of letters and you were just getting into it. Ha! Boy does time fly by now lol

i know i remember... and you were the first one i thought of, i was like, Dina was right, it did take about 23 days!! and thank you so much, time does fly, and im guessing that it'll fly even faster with incoming letters, i just read your discussion and gosh, idk what i would do in your position, more than likely i'd go because i wouldn't be able to resist not seeing him, so i say if the doctor says its ok, then go for it, i know how much you miss him, and i hope its a yes in your next appt. my prayers go to your health progress and baby(:

Thank you so much,I appreciate the prayers. I can't wait now that I'm getting closer:)

you're welcome(: and i can imagine, i can already picture us  a few weeks later saying, "remember when u were at 5 weeks and i was at 3?? time flies" i cant wait for that lol

Me to! Week 7!

Oh wow! my fiance left that same day. I recieved one letter dated the 14th. but thats it so far. :) Its so nice hearing you got so many letters!!!

Aww well im glad you received a letter too(: and i know i was surprised, but he said he started writing right away and he'll sometimes sacrifice some of his sleep to write as much as he can because during the day they're always doing something, even at night, so all those letters he had been writing he sent them all at once, whether it was 12 or 1 i would've been been excited either way just by hearing from him...so we're almost half way, lets hang in there(:

yeah, i mean i got a 3 page letter front and back lol. and looking on the schedule i found out were actually halfway through week four :) . this sunday is the halfway mark. I'm looking up videos about the battle station 21 thing though and cant help but freak out. I hope our guys do well on it!

oh my gosh i don't even look at them cause i freak out too lol and i also hope they do fine, he mentioned how hard it is but i know its gonna get even harder:-/ but i know they'll make it through! are you going to his PIR?

yes ma'am I've also heard that some of us on here have recieved thanksgiivng forms that allow us to check out our sailor and spend thanksgiving with them. I might try for this, if money allows.

oh my god i would love to do that but yea i have to think about the money too, PIR will be a huge expense which i dont mind, but also going the week before wouldn't help so much since it would be the same expense

This is so sweet!

I got one letter a week ago but it didn't have much in it. So I'm hoping to get a nice letter like yours soon!!
