You will.. My boyfriend's parents got his box the same time as everyone else, but it took a whole week AFTER everyone else whose SR is in my boyfriend's division got theirs...it will come. And remember, no news IS good news-if there was something wrong they would let him call!
Thank you, it has just been hard with being pregnant and hormones all over the place as it is....I've written him everyday since he has been gone but I'm starting to feel useless with nowhere to send them to currently
I'm not pregnant and it was STILL hard especially seeing everyone else getting them! Actually I'm not very patient... I called his recruiter & got his address. Are you able to do that? You could start sending him letters that way. But I know my bf liked getting a bunch at once-he said their first mail call he definitely got the most out of everyone else & it made him feel awesome :) just keep writing & try not to get discouraged. He will cherish those letters when he gets them! My bf says they are what keeps him going & he loves just hearing about my day! He's missing you just as much as you miss I'm! The girls here are so helpful & supportive! We all have good & bad days & its great to be able to come here to let it out because everyone understands. What you're feeling is normal & I PROMISE you even though it doesn't feel that way now it does get easier.
Hey holdfast86 you have to def keep it together you are preg and cant stress the baby. But my bf left on 8/3 and i got his form letter yesterday. It does take time trust me i have my bad days and good days... Today actually was a bad day for me i broke down at work my heart just hurt so much.. But there is something that i realize crying is a good thing because your cry it out and afterwards you pick your self up and keep pushing forward for them. Something that i think helps for me is that i write him everyday. I know he told me not to write him everyday but honestly i cant help it... writing to him helps me make it day to day.. Alot of time when i am writing to him i write just as if i am talking to him i kinda i play it in my mind and i can just imagine his reactions and what he would say if he was here and that makes me feel good and guides me day to day.... Just remember everyday that passes is a day closer. And trust me your not the only one feeling how you do we all feel that same exact way. If you need me i am here always willing to talk :)
Desiree-keep writing to your bf! Even though he told you not to every day, that was before he left & honestly those letters are what is going to get him through! Once they start receiving mail, mail call is what gets them through their days. Even if you don't have much to say... Write a little note & include a joke or some pictures or a puzzle... I've been sending my bf articles on football (because he's obsessed!) Also some news articles (I just try to find the not sad ones!) Because he likes to stay updated on current events. These little things help them remember that there is a world after boot camp-its hard in there for that sometimes since they're so cut off! A lot of people send crossword puzzles or word searches too... Remember they DO get mail every day even though they can only send it once a week!
I think nighttime is the hardest for me, just the whole process of climbing into bed along after spending every night with him, I usually tend to shed a few tears but not break down completely...sometimes a little more whenever I'm talking to my belly (probably sounds silly since she isn't even born yet but I know she can hear me) and letting her know that daddy loves her and misses her...thankfully I have some video recordings of him reading to my tummy that I play for her all the time and plus it helps me as well being able to watch him and hear him even if I can't talk to him...I'm not stressing too much, for our baby and him because I promised him I wouldn't...he has been my strength and has given me every reason in the world to keep going. I can relate with some days being harder though and it seems sometimes as though it comes out of nowhere and hits you like a ton of bricks...but like you said, get it out and keep on moving. If he says something about you writing him everyday just explain to him that it is something that helps you keep it together, trust me I've written my husband everyday except for the day that I was in the hospital and felt so bad that I came back the next day and wrote him a four page letter. My fear is always that I'm going to end up getting too repetitive and boring him since I really don't have a life right now and no letters to respond back to but I'm just hope that they help him. I've also clipped some puzzles out for him and have got to get info on what is going on in the football world [even though I have no idea where to begin lol] thank you so much for the offer to talk...it really does help knowing I'm not alone and others know what this feels like
Holdfast- ESPN or if he has a favorite team, just google them you'll get the most recent articles! We're all here for each other! Night time was hardest for me at first too... We're not married but I lived with him and it was so hard to get into bed by myself that first night. But I spray my sheets in his cologne and get to smell him every night :) that is so sweet that he recorded himself for your daughter! Remember he is doing this for you and her!
Trust me I hold onto that everyday, he is only 19 and a lot of guys his age wouldn't have stepped up the way he has for us, but we got lucky and everything just clicked so well. Yeah I'm going to have to get on the NFL website and try to figure out what is being said lol. You aren't alone on that, his shirt that I got in the box is on the bear him and I share...still smells like him, it helps.
