For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

I am aware I can't live with him during A school! But he was told to start his paper work as soon as he got to school and when he recieves them I come out there and we get married so I will be on his duty papers! That is what he has been told in bootcamp! And explained it to me but wasn't sure how long it took to get paper work back!

I'm pretty sure that if his A school is only 5 weeks, he will not have C school. I'm not 100% positive, but every super short A-school rate I know of does not include a C school. It's typically for the more technical rates.
What do you mean by paperwork to go to Florida? If you want to visit him, all he has to do is fill out a chit to get the weekend off and hope it gets approved. However, he will need a liberty buddy to get off base and they probably will not let you sign for him. Typically it's only spouses and parents. Also, he most likely won't be allowed to get liberty until he makes phase three, which is 2-3 weeks into a 5 week A school. This is about when he receives orders as well, making it too late for you to get married and get on his orders.
EmChammer got everything else I could say, she was right about all of the above. I really don't see it being a possibility for you to get married before he gets his orders, his schooling is just too short.
I know it's very hard to hear these things and realize that the picture in your head is nothing close to reality, but it's best to face this as quickly as possible. The fact of the matter is that they know NOTHING in bootcamp. Nothing. They hear a thousand rumors and they start to think they know what it's going to be like...but they don't. There was a post on here a few weeks ago with a girl saying that her boyfriend wrote her a letter saying she should follow him and travel the world with him...which could never happen. You will both quickly find once he's at a duty station that nothing is the way you imagined it and nothing like bootcamp and A school. In my humble opinion, it's not a good idea to get married before you experience a deployment together because deployments change everything.
