Hey my husband is stationed at fort meade now, leaving thursay though. Base housing isn't that bad, the immediate area outside the base is gross but gets better when your further out. Glenn Burnie, Arundal Mills(hanover), Severn arn't bad Keep out of Laural, odenton, some of Jessup kinda ghetto. Traffic is Horrible down there especially at rush hour so be carefull if your going out to look at apartments.

Being close to baltimore and washington is nice, lots of stuff to do there, not really much around meade area though.

Is your husband a CT or MC?? they are the only two rates I've ever seen there for navy lol. Being on an Army base is interesting we learned alot about the army while there. I chose not to move there because I was finishing up college but i got down there a couple weekends.

Thanks for all the tips! I'll be sure to keep those names in mind while looking for a place. He is a CT, how long is your husband stationed there?

He is an MC there for A school. He was there for 6 months graduates this Thursday, and off to Norfolk

oh cool, I can't wait to get there and see what it is like! Congratulations to him!

Thanks, it is really nice there aside from traffic, dont ever find yourself on ht ebeltway at rush our cause your gonna sit there for hours lol! We checked out all the sites in washington, baltimore and we even got married in annapolis becase the area was so cute and historic lol. The base has a lot of events for families, i see signes all the time down there for family days, cookouts, job fairs etc.
Yay! all that stuff makes me more excited!! :)
