I hear you, my fella is on the Lincoln..its all a very new experience for me too. Are you able to keep in touch with him via email? Have you written any letters or anything else? Hang in there, I think this site has been very supportive so far!
The Lincoln just deployed a few days ago right? I am able to keep in touch via email. We email several times through the night while he is on duty, we IM'ed though facebook once which I was so super excited to do cause it reminded me of texting since I have a fb app on my cell so I was doing it on there and I have missed texting with him. We have only gotten to talk on the phone once, and it was litterally for a minute and the phone was having issues and we lost signal. I so far have wrote 2 letters that I sent off in cards and also have sent off 3 care packages. He has not recieved any of it yet, but I am hopeful he will Monday or Tuesday cause he said that he was informed that there was a big dilevery of mail and packages coming on those days!!!!! So where are you from? How long have you and your fella been together?
If you look on the comment wall I think it is. There are quite a few girls if I remember correctly who have a loved one on the Vinson! My hubby also just left on the Lincoln. i know its hard but stay busy! If you are still bored and sad stay even busier! :) Its hard but we will make it! <3 This is my favorite quote and it gets me through the hard days! I take it just one day at a time. If you look forward and think ah they arent coming home for x months it seems really daunting but if at the end of the day I am one day closer then it is a lot easier!
If ever there is tomorrow when we're not together. There is something you must always remember. You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think. But the most important thing is, even if we're apart... I'll always be with you.
