Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

My fiance is in A school at Pensacola. Can we get married when i go to visit him there?

My name is kimmie. Ive been engaged to my sailor for about a yr and we were planning on getting married at his graduation weekend in chicago however that didnt work. they urged us not to do it so we didnt because we didnt want to get in trouble. Im totally stressing about not being married before he gets his new orders when he finishes A school. i dont want him stationed somewhere i cant go or have any complication with me going with him. Is it allowed for us to get married when i go to visit him in florida before he finishes A school? i dont want to have any issues or get him in trouble but i dont want to have the stress about worrying about him getting his orders as a single sailor rather then a married sailor. pleaseee any help me!!

i know its stressfull but it will be okay :) he just has to get the correct paper work from his A school and you two can get married. the sooner the better so the paper work can get processed :)

He needs to submit a special request chit, but that's more for the Navy to know he's marrying than anything.  P-Cola usually requires he take a class or talk to the chaplain, but he should be able to get that done fairly easily.

Also, please don't use his last name.... it isn't good security practice and is not allowed on this board.  I'm not picking on you, just a warning to all new folks who aren't used to this new Navy world.  Personal security online for you, and for our sailors, is important.
