Hello everyone! I am new to this site and to this navy way of living! My boyfriend left for BC on October 4th and yesterday I got my first letter! I am a full time student and work four days a week so I am trying to stay busy but man I have been feeling kind of down lately. None of my friends really understand what I am going through so that is kind of hard. Other than that so far so good, His graduation date is set for November 30th and I am counting down the days :)

Hi there! My name is Sindina commonly known as Dina to friends and fam. Nice to meet you, my fiance left for bootcamp 09/20 and I am a full time student as well. I work part time as an LPN and full time server, well used to lol. I am on leave at my job because I have been put on bed rest for a while. I felt the same way, finding this site is truly heaven. Join your PIR group if you haven't done so already great source for info, and these ladies on here are great. So any time you feel like jumping to share or need support, just do it!

My husband left October 1 and graduates the same day and your boyfriend. Just stay as busy as possible. I'm a full time mom and I work 40 hours a week sometimes more. I realized the busier I stay the quicker time goes by. I'm also counting down the days and look forward to Thursdays cause that's usually when I get my letters. I'm happy for just one but this past time I got more. Plus this site will let you know a lot and there are so many people that can answer you questions. One group for you is PIR 11/30/2012

Hello! My fiance left September 26th, and he graduates the week before your SR does - 11/21. I know how you're feeling right now, and I hope you find this website to be helpful while you're going through this, because I definitely have! Like you, I keep myself busy - I worked five or six nights a week, and am taking three classes online. But you're right - it's hard not to feel down. Just gotta focus on the future, and the positive! That's all I've been doing lately, haha :)

hey molly, you are so right I just keep thinking that one day this will all pay off for us lol it is just hard because I feel like I need to be done with college and move on because he is doing that via the navy and as soon as I finish school we plan on getting married so it is hard to calm myself and not want everything done right NOW lol was your fiance able to call yet??

I know what you mean - I am scrambling to make plans for when he is out of boot camp, and it's really hard without him. We want to get married while he is in A school, so I can be on his orders for when he gets stationed, so it's going to be a whirlwind! Everything is with the Navy, I have learned the hard way... Something we all have to learn, I guess!

My fiance did call, this past Tuesday, I think because he had reached the halfway point. We only had twenty minutes, and we both cried pretty much the whole phone call - my word of advice, if your SR calls, try to be strong for him! I regret how weak I was, but I was overwhelmed... missing him and finally hearing his voice. And if you do the same as I did, and are very emotional during the phone call, that is understandable! It's just that, personally, I wish I was stronger :/

Hi Katie, My name is Karina and my boyfriends PIR is Nov.30th as well! he left on the 2nd of October and i received several letter from him Tuesday and today, so that makes me so  happy, he was suppose to get a phone call today but 5 of the recruits in his division messed up so they punished everyone:( i was so upset because for one, they all take it but i guess this is the way it goes. And well my friends and family have been supportive but of course, no  one understands better than the ladies here that are going through the same thing, so i hope joining this site will help you as much as it helped me(:

Hey Karaina! that is so cool your boyfriends PIR is the same day as my boyfriend! My boyfriend is in ship 12, what about yours? and yeah I got my first letter yesterday that had to notes in it but its hard because I live in CA and he sent out the first letter on the 21st so it looks like its going to take a good 4 to 5 days to get to me. Thank you for replying to me, this site has already educated me a lot and it is just nice to know I am not alone in this! thanks again for sharing with me :)
