OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Newly wed questions
Hey ladies!
I recently just married my sailor, 8 days ago actually, he is stationed in San Diego and were planning to move me out there in about 2 months, but many people are telling me that the Navy will pay for me to move out there, but I dont think thats true. Does anyone know if this is true or not? And also any of the ladies in San Diego do you have any suggestions on places to live?

The Navy will not pay for that move, as you were not a dependent when his orders were issued. He got his orders as a single sailor, so they are "unaccompanied" and do not allow for dependent travel. He should talk to his COC at his command to see if there are any loopholes, but I very much doubt it.
One thing he might be able to do, depending on how long he's been at his command, is get a shipment of household goods from his Home of Record to San Diego. Even single sailors can have packouts. There is a time frame, so he needs to talk to his command and the personal property office.

Yes and no. The housing is privatized, off base on a "military complex", exclusively for the military. Uses all your BAH, but includes utilities.
Civilian rentals use as much of your BAH as the rent is, and then you have to pay your utilities monthly. There may be enough BAH for that or not, depending on how well you can budget and how well you keep your utility use low. Some rentals do include utilities.

There's many Lincoln housing areas in San Diego. There's also a waiting list, your sailor needs to get you on it ASAP.

It says all military with dependents are eligible. You can always call them and ask.

we live in lmh in point loma and we got it when he was an e1 or e2 so its def not based on it, i personally love this area, its convenient and really safe, i dont know about any of the other lmh areas but im sure theyre just as nice

ive seen that on their website, but after i fill out the application do i need to take it to base or do i just fax it into them?
