Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

Wow I just looked at prices. Yikes! Lol I don't think we can afford that. Still trying to work out how much we can spend a month. Since you're there, can you suggest another safe area to me? I'm worried about safety. And I don't know the area at all.

You'll be getting BAH to pay rent. It is based on the zip code where you live while he is in school. Have you looked it up?

He should be receiving it in boot camp for your current location. It can take a couple pay cycles to kick in, but no matter where you live, he will receive a housing allowance for you.

We actually live in Ember Ridge apartments and like the previous poster said, the area surrounding base is not that great, however I couldn't feel safer at our apartment complex. I feel completely comfortable taking my dog for a walk around the complex at night by myself. And you can't beat the 15 second drive to base! I'd stay away from crystal lake apartments though, lots of break ins!

we are looking at ember ridge! yes it is literally 15 seconds! lol if you don't mind how much does your electricity and cable come out to be? I'm just trying to get an estimate on how much we will be spending a month.plus we will need a car. thanks Christine!

I am living in an apartment that is 15 minutes from NAS Pensacola now. I pay 750 a month for ALL utilities (internet, cable, water, electric) I am moving out in 2 weeks so it will be open, but I dont know for how long! I love the place and the landlords always give military first consideration about renting the place. Email me if you want any more info! whitneygann@gmail.com
