Thank you Dina, i really appreciate it, i'm going to look into those places, i want to be as close as possible
thank you for the link, it really helped(:
Fly out of O'hare, because my friends that went to Naval boot camp flew out of O'Hare and their families got to spend time with them at the airport before their flights!! So instead of just one day, they got two :) I'm planning to stay at the Navy lodge. I can't remember the nightly rate, but I remember the total was around 100 bucks. I'm flying American Airlines... it's the cheapest (about 350 roundtrip from San Diego to O'hare). And it's non-stop too. Unless he's staying in Great Lakes for A school, plan to leave Saturday and get a later flight to get as much time with your sailor as possible. Hope that helps a little!
Whens your PIR? && thank you so much for the info, i was actually looking into the Navy lodge, i think i might stay there, i would've preferred to get a package with the flight included so i wouldn't have to worry about it because i found some really good deals but the hotels are not as close as the lodge and i want to be close, i'm flying from Mcallen, Texas, 4 hrs away from SA, i guess i'll check out American Airlines, thank you!
His PIR is Nov 9. Yeah I was looking for deals like that too, but it became a hassle to find a hotel close to the base. If you're planning on getting a rental car (which I'm not), then distance might not be too much of an issue for you. I'm planning to take shuttles, buses, taxis, whatever public transportation is available. Haha :)
aww almost!! && no i'm not planning on getting a rental car, i'd probably get lost or something, i think the best thing is to stay as close as possible so i can also use the shuttles because i'm gonna be alone and i wouldn't want to get lost
Navy Lodge!!! its only 2 miles from the base and its cheap!! i booked my room there for PIR 10/26 for two nights it only cost me 130 bucks
i want to book it already!! but idk where his A school is gonna be at so idk if to book it for the whole weekend or just thursday night and friday night ;-/ do you know if they let you make changes??
