Hi, I got a letter from my boyfriend saying he is going to get his second call next Tuesday! (Our First call since during the first one he was getting his wisdom teeth removed.) SO I am so super excited, but I work that day I was curious if there is any time frame I can expect to get the call... Like Morning time? Night TIme? Afternoon? Anything like that? Thank you so much.

They can call at any time, there is no designated time. I got phone calls in the morning, afternoon & evening when my husband was in boot camp! Just keep your phone on you & the area code to look for is 847.
Yeah they can call anytime. But my sailor called me around 11am PST and the second time was around 2pm.
Awww....I remember when my Sailor called me from bootcamp the first time. I think I cried because I was so happy. Sorry I am such a sap. Hope this helps. =]
My hubby just called today around 5.

I just got the I'm a sailor call today and they started calling in the afternoon, he said they had the capping ceremony of the Navy hats then they got to eat along with other things before going to NEX to buy as my boyfriend said junkfood and make a call! I got my call at 2pm PST and he got to talk for an hour!

My boyfriend was also really happy about the fast food!!! He also got to call my on Tuesday because his division was doing really well on their inspections and one of the first things he sad to me was "guess what... I am drinking a red bull!" He also was eating donuts when I got the I'm a sailor call on Thursday, which he was also very happy to be eating!!! His PIR is next week, and I can't wait to go and see him! It feels SOOO good to know that the long wait is over! I am so excited to see him at PIR, I am worried I am not going to sleep very well the night before! We are from Oregon and we will land at 5 am Chicago time which is a two hour time difference, I hope I can sleep on the plane! I read in another post that your boyfriend is also going to P'cola, so is my boyfriend and he will graduate as AW!

I am jelouse that your boyfriends bootcamp is over lol! mine has basically just started and i obviously havent heard from him yet! no letters and no phone calls! but this week will be week two so hopefully i will get to hear from him! This is the hardest thing ever! I'm  sure i will be feeling the same way you do though when bootcamp is finally over!! ugh i hope oct 15 comes quick.

You will be lucky if you get to hear from him at week two! You should get letters though, I didn't hear from my boyfriend until week 3, they had to move their division on the second Sunday of boot camp so they had no holiday routine. I also got my first phone call on week 3! It will come a lot faster than you think, the days may seem to go by slow, but overall the weeks will fly by!

He also mentioned it in a letter because it had no high fructose corn syrup in it, which he was happy about! I can't wait to see him in uniform, 4 days now!!!! I also am really looking forward to him having his phone, I am so looking forward to having a little bit better communication with him! That is a bummer you couldn't go to PIR and that he forgot to take your number! I made sure my boyfriend had my number memorized before he left for BC, I was so worried he wouldn't call me because he had forgotten it! We fly have a red eye flight on Wednesday night into Thursday morning, so hopefully we will sleep Thursday to help pass the day, then wake up early to see him!! I will come back and tell you all about it! We are hoping for an extra day with him since his division has a possibility of making Hall of Fame, but for right now we only have Friday with him. I will still take one day with him!!

what is hall of fame?

My boyfriend is in an 800 division and they need I believe my boyfriend said 4.7 to make Hall of Fame. I didn't do a lot of research on it but from what I have read it is a combination of drill inspections, physical scores, and test scores! I could be wrong though, but I know it is an overall score of how they are doing as a whole.

My hubby b/c is half way tomorrow! !

Hey,

Sorry i didnt answer after I wrote that. I took a trip with my Sailors mom and didn't internet. I am so glad you all responded. My SR's PIR is Sept. 7, So maybe its not his sailor call, but instead just a regular phone call. IDK BUT I AM SOO EXCITED. ha thank you all for your sort of times that you got calls. I hope its afternoon but if not I told my boss I might be running out of the building lol. I CANNOT WAIT FOR PIR! ha ha and see him in his uniform.. yay!
