So today was a good day and I just felt good! So to anyone who has had a bad day an is feeling down about your sailor being gone or not being able to talk to them here's something to make you smile or just a little pick-me-up!

Everyday is one day closer to you seeing him! Everyone has those up or down days and it really depends on how you handle it. If you sit in your house and cry in the dark you will be miserable! That doesn't help. You have to get out and enjoy life! Something that has helped me tremendously is praying and going to church and just letting God take care of it. He tells us not to worry, that he will take care of everything for us if we just give it too him. I'm not trying to change your mind in religion or anything. Also try and keep your self busy, I used to have a hard time with wanting to cry all the time and just missing my boyfriend like crazy but I found that doing that is only going to make you miserable and no one wants that. You have to keep your head up and keep going. Everyone tells me the key to keeping a military relationship going is independence. If you can make it through boot camp then you can do anything!

God Bless,
Abby

Thank you, Abby! I've been having better days lately too - hard nights, but I'll take what I can get, haha. We women have to be strong for our guys, as hard as that can be sometimes. But like you say, we have to stay busy and do what we can without our guys. And find peace in our religion, if we have a religion, which I do as well. Every night I pray for my fiance and for myself, and it helps so much.

My boyfriend and I pray almost every night together on the phone before he has to study. It's hard but I can tell it will get easier as time goes on. What stage is your fiancé at?

That is so sweet, that you pray together over the phone! My fiance is still in boot camp, and he's scheduled to graduate in two weeks. In his letters, I've seen his faith grow, and it's amazing. Makes me fall even more in love with him! Haha :)

This really lifted my spirit this morning. I was just sitting in class writing my SR informing him how bad and lonely I was feeling today and then I came across this and my entire attitude has changed. You are correct when you say we have some good days and some bad ones and it depends on how we handle them. I was feeling like crying, but I decided to smile beacuse I know that in due ime I will be in Great Lake, IL in my baby arms. WE CAN DO IT LADIES!!
