My fiance' left his car with me before he left for basic training because he wanted me to have a second car in case something happened to mine while he was away. I ent home for Thanksgiving and just got back tonight. When i returned my fiance's car was no longer in front of my apartment complex! After freaking out and crying like a maniac, I noticed a towing company on a handicap parking sign. I called to see if they had his car, and they had it. It waa towed today because it had a flat tire! The tire must have gone flat while I was out of town because I had just driven the car before I left. So I can't get the car because it is registered to my fiance'. Each day it is there is costing money, and idk what to do. We covered his finances but didn't do anything about co-registering me on his car. So stressed....

Aww that's terrible! Would there be a way for you to act as his power of attorney? Can they work something out like faxing paperwork for him to sign so it would be released to you? Sorry I don't know much but I hope you find some way of getting it out of there.

The guy said that they could release it to me if I get a signed statement from my fiance' and identification, but with him being in basic training, I have no idea how to even go about doing this.
You could try and contact his recruiter and see if there's a number you could call at RTC to get in touch with him. His car being towed is kind of a big thing and hopefully they'll see it as an emergency situation to allow some contact to fix it. Not sure if he'd get crap for that though. You could also use snail mail to seems the documents to him. It'd take longer but he'd get it eventually. Or do both! Send the forms via mail right now in case you can't contact him.
This is really putting a dark cloud over his graduation this Friday. Due to th fact that I know he is going through BS this week, I don't want to distract him. At this point, I am going to just wait until he graduates and get POA during PIR weekend. So frustrated because this is an extreme waste of money. We talked about POA before he left, and h said that he had given it to his mom, and I was fine with that because we aren't married yet and don't live together. He gave me access to his accounts to pay his bills, and I was fine with that. His mom said she didn't receivePOA though. I won't dwell on this...money comes and money goes.
