Hello! This is my first time on here and my bf just left Monday for boot camp. How does anyone cope with a loved one starting a good thing for themselves but at the same time it is also a sad thing? I miss him and love him like crazy, I'm just having a really hard time trying to deal with it. Not being able to pick up the phone and talk to him so difficult. Please help.

Hey im new to this site to. My boyfriend is leaving today and we wont be able to talk or text anymore only letters till he graduates. How do you cope with that like what should I do. I just really miss him and I cry sooo much and I dont know what to do.

Hello, I know what you are going through. I am finally near the halfway mark. What I have been doing since my fiance left is write him a letter everyday. Sometimes about the day, sometimes about how much I love him,  and sometimes about wedding plans. He has seemed to enjoy it. I spoke to him on the phone last weekend and he said that he loved the letters and that he was so happy that I had written so many. It will get a little easier when you find out his PIR date. I didn't believe it when people told me, but it's true. You will start to get busy trying to plan the trip there. Also, spend time with friends. I have been bragging about my fiance ever since he left (and before). I realize that it is good to talk about your feelings with someone. Whether they understand or not. Be positive in your letters. Whenever you say that you miss him (which you will do), immediately let him know how excited you are to see him at graduation.

If you want someone to talk to who is going through the same thing, inbox me. :)

Don't be too upset. Honestly it's hard but it gets so much easier. My boyfriend graduates July 19th. It goes by so quick. Especially when you think about it as 9 Friday's instead of 8 weeks. Keep writing letters and keep thinking if him. This a cool thing also. As you spend this time apart, it's a good way to test things. Test yourself to see just how strong you really are. To see just how much you really love him. This time apart has made me crave him way me than I ever have. So just think, in the few remaining Friday's, y your first encounter will be so special. It will be like meeting all over again.cherish the letters and the phone calls. And keep in touch with his family. It will mean a lot to him to know you guys are thinking about him together. Stay strong it goes by so fast! Good luck and be proud of your sailor(:

I know what you mean. I'm counting down the days until he graduates. I have 27 days left. Can't wait. I still have my moments every now and again but that's bound to happen. As time goes by and it gets closer each day  I get more excited. Hang in there and it will be here sooner than you think.

when my boyfriend left for boot camp it was really hard for me to do anything it was like my soul was ripping away from me. the best thing to do until you hear from him is to say busy. and try your hardest not to worry (i know its easier said then done). wright to him as must as you can that will help him to and send him picture of you family friends pets.( DO NOT SEND HIM CARE PACKAGES HE WILL NO GET ANYTHING HIS OFFICERS WILL GET IT. and don't think your sending to many letters because your not.it will bring his spirits up
