Hello all,
I know this is a long shot but I am at my wit's end and this site has helped me learn SO much already, I thought someone out here might be able to point me in the right direction <3
I am two days out of a very rough surgery, just woke up from some heavy medication and remembered I have some things I need to stress about. Like how I am going to get back from PIR. I just had my fifth foot surgery due to a guy running me over with his car in a cross walk. (he was looking left for traffic, turning right on a red and didn't bother to check to the right.)
I apologize in advance if any of this seems or reads mangled. I am quite drugged up!
Anyway I have had to work when in excruciating pain to survive and I finally got approved for this fifth surgery. I am now out of a job and out of money. I spent my last $26 on food and the rest on a ticket to Milwaukee. I am wondering if anyone knows where I can get some help in renting a motel room, paying for a cab ride from the airport to the motel and a flight back to San Francisco? I know it is a LOT to ask, but if I don't ask, I'll never know. The flights are pretty cheap right now (around $170) but I know they are going to keep going up as the days wear on. My sailor is my boyfriend (we plan to get married when we are able to) but his funds have gone to paying my rent bills these past few months so I have a place over my head.
I am not sure what to do and am so worried about not making it to his PIR, especially because I just learned that his best friend does not think it's all that important to go to this graduation. (I have not told SR he won't be going because I don't want to upset him during BC.) Anyway, I know I am now rambling. If anyone knows of any organizations where I could go to for help, it would be much appreciated! Thank-you! Emi

As far as getting from the airport to great lakes, I would look into what's cheapest. You could take a cab to the kenosha metra train station and take the train to great lakes. The train is inexpensive. here's the website for that http://metrarail.com/content/metra/en/home/maps_schedules/metra_sys...
But honestly, cabs are so expensive and you would have to get another one to take you to where you're staying once you get to great lakes. It might be cheaper to just rent a car. When is your bf's PIR? The navy lodge usually has the cheapest rates for hotels, but you have to book early.
They also have assistance for handicap people, not sure how well you're going to be walking by then. There's a lot of walking for PIR, so I would look into that.
