Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

Where to get married at Great Lakes
hey everyone, I hope you are all doing wonderful in this month of December.
I received a letter from my fiance, and he said something about getting married on base at Great Lakes. I am not one to sit by and wait for information I just can't help it. Does anyone know if there is a place to get married on base and what you need to do for it? Thanks so much...

Boot Camp side or A-School side?
Most ladies here will tell you DO NOT get married the weekend of PIR. It is not worth it, there is not time, and your SR is specifically told not to do so. -

Courthouse is the usual choice.

You can call and ask. The sire will say is is not secure, but it is okay to use.

He will have to fill out paper work after he gets to the "A" School side before he gets married. He is the only one who can do that paper work and is required to attend classes before he gets married.

I went to a place called lake county this past weekend i went on friday to get the license (they are opened until 7 on fridays ) and on saturday we went to a building across the street for the ceremony (the judge is there from 930-11) i suggest getting there by 9 maybe a little earlier because they do it by groups in order i was there by 9 and we were the first group called in, its started getting crowded after 9... I brought in my drivers license and he took his military ID make sure you know your social security number you will need it for the license.

The first address in the box is the place to go for license and the bottom one for the ceremony and at the bottom there is a phone number in case you want to call .... The location is 10 minutes away from base

hi ericakk81, did you get married the weekend of PIR? did he get into trouble? did he ask before you got married? i am asking because my SR and i are planning to do this the day after graduation but i do NOT want him to get into trouble, its hard to correspond via mail to him.
