Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!
Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!
Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

I don't live far from GL so we were able to go back to his moms house saturday and sunday. the one day when we arrived at his house his mom and her boyfriend happened to want to go to the gym, lol, so we were able to have alone time. it was nice of them, lol

when i went to my husbands PIR it was my mom, dad, and husbands dad. my mom and dad get that we wanted "alone time", but trying to make my husbands dad understand was a nightmare!! he struggles with the fact that i'm eric's #1 and he feels like it should be him. I made sure i rented my own hotel room for the weekend, and when we wanted alone time we just said we were tired and wanted to take a nap : )

i have to share my bf this coming weekend for PIR 4/30. I'm going with his parents and his grandmother. I am fine with sharing him with them because he was theirs first. I wish it could be the two of us only but i wouldnt take that away from them, and i'm glad they considered me over other family members for the fourth spot.
on the other side, one of our friends who is a former sailor said he may fly out to GL to see him too. I was like o HELL NO! sharing with his family i will tolerate... sharing with friends... NEVER gonna happen lol

He's wrapped around my little finger and he can't stand when I cry. After calling me pathetic and me getting upset he realized what he did and wanted to make things better. We talked about it and we both understand each other's side of it. Now I'm just patiently waiting to be able to go see him...

I agree that is different. I would have been upset too. He should apologize. He needs to realize that you want to spend time with him and are unable to while his mom gets too. Good luck to you guys

I never said anywhere in there that I was angry with him because he was spending time with his mother. I wasn't angry with him until he called me pathetic because I'm jealous of his mom.

Before my bf left we got into a fight about where to go to eat. We both were really hungry and couldn't decide where to go. It was really stupid all because we were both hungry. At the time I was so upset and now it seems so petty and funny.

I have PIR weekend May 7 and I am going to have to share him with 4 people as well. I don't know if his mom is even going though. I am lucky to say we get along:) I agree with Lizzie you shouldn't be angry towards him, that is his mom. She is going always going to be there so it is best to try and get along for his sake so it doesn't cause any other problems.
