For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

The saddest thing about reading all this stuff is in my case my boyfriend is on deployment and I am already in a very emotional state of mind. I know I'm not the only one that feels like that whether your significant other is on deployment, in A school or just away. I have a very close relationship with my boyfriend, he is my best friend, we talk about everything, I trust him and I know that no matter where he is at I’m always on his mind. What if there is that someone on here reading all this and they dont feel secure in their relationship for whatever reason it maybe and all this negative talk is just adding fuel to the fire. Come ladies lets just talk about the positive.

Okay, I was in the Navy... this bothers me: As long as your bf's and hubby's dont go to A-School in Great Lakes where the Corpsman females are known as Corps Whores! That is a rumor and a nasty one at that. These women are SAILORS too! They are professional and care about their service, their country, their family. If their husbands or boyfriends heard that, how do you think they would feel? Sure, there are always bad apples, but don't go slandering an entire rate because you've heard a rumor! And if I hear, "But my BF's friend said..." Well, how does the friend know? Did he bang one of them? Or is he lying/bragging? And why would your man be hanging out with a guy who admits to being with women like that?
Sailors love to gossip, gossip usually lies and exaggeration and guessing. It makes people feel bad and worry. So don't do it too. Please! Try to focus on the positive. If a guy says something nasty about female sailors, or wives or hookers, just say, "Honey, I know you don't care about that type, so let's talk about something wonderful instead."

I am with a lot of ladies here. I totally trust DH, it is the girls playing the vulnerable card that tick me off. They were all telling him the problems they were having with their BFs and FIs back home. I said, look, if I had an issue with you I would talk to YOU or my girlfriends about it. I am suspicious of women that don't have female friends. lol. We have an agreement to never put ourselves in compromising situations or situations others can even perceive as compromising. He has always made me feel secure on top of me simply trusting him.

My boyfriend is in Great Lakes as well as another friend, but I trust him completely. I guess it comes down to only your man. It doesn't matter if you don't trust the girls, because if you trust him and know he's honest, they won't influence you. Just like guys who will come on to you and guys who know you aren't single. I know personally I am disgusted by any other guy flirting with me but my boyfriend, and I am faithful and so is he. Don't worry, just cherish and trust him.

I dont know! I am so scared for my hubby. I trust him, but I DONT trust other people. I hate the thought of my hubby being tempted to do something or pressured into doing something he may not really want to do. :' )

LizzieT I'm the same way.. I've been trying not to concentrate on it.. I trust him but he can be overly friendly sometimes without meaning to be and it comes off the wrong way to some people. I'm trying so hard to keep my thoughts under control..
