I'm a Navy Wife and I created this group back when I was a girlfriend and my now husband had gone to bootcamp. Its funny because i joined this website when they had under 50 members. This website has been sooooo helpful and I met so many people on here that gave great advice. I made this group so that we could all come together and give eachother advice and share ideas. I see that this group is growing more and more by the day, Im happy to see that because so many wives/fiances/and girlfriends are clueless when it comes the military lifestyle. Not knowing what to expect and not knowing about deployments, bootcamp, duty stations, etc. I want this to be the place you all recommend because so many people on this site are knowledgeable and very helpful. Once again thanks for joining my group and i hope you get all the information you need. I dont get to log on as much as i used to but i try my best to get on here. So if u have any questions feel free to make a discussion topic and Im positive that it will get answered if not, inbox me :-) Take Care ♥

@Sophia-Lemoore is.... Interesting. It's hot and humid, it smells REALLY bad on occasion, the air quality can be terrible at times, and it's starting to get a lot of gang activity. Base housing is nice, Hanford is a decent place to live if you don't want to live in base housing, but Lemoore is one of the few bases that as housing that is actually ON base. I wish I had more positive things to say about the place

Sophia I'm headed there too with my sailor! She will be done in Pensacola next month! I've been doing research on the place. It's not too bad.

Another question.. What do ur sailors do for wifi? My husband asked me to find out but I don't really know where to begin looking

Anyone stationed in Lemoore CA? Just got word from my sailor that we will be moving there when he is done in pensacola and I'd be lying if I said I was excited.
I think maybe because I've never heard of it it's worrying me.

Has anyone received letters from their SR in div 256? I miss my recruit like crazy! A call or letter would definitely lessen the stress. Ive made a trip to the post office everyday, and still no letters. I know that the one day I don't go, it'll be a letter. The one day, I don't have my phone, I'll end up getting the call.

Asia- I know how you feel exactly. The only reason I live where I do is because we made the move together and the only reason this felt like home was because he was here :/
Comment by heathee12 on June 23, 2015 at 7:35pm
Unfortunately it doesn't get easier but you kind of figure out how to deal with everything better. I haven't seen my husband in a month because we are pcsing and I had to stay behind with our animals for 39 days. Me can talk so that is a plus - but honestly this is kind of what it's like. I wouldn't change anything but it can be tough just hang in there
Comment by Asia on June 23, 2015 at 6:43pm
Jackie- it may be like the rest of everything else and creep up on me I just feel so empty bc where I live now is not home to me...he was the only reason I was living here idk guess just a bad day for me
Comment by Jackie on June 23, 2015 at 6:40pm
Asia- same here! Some days it's bearable but never "easy" everyone says it's my "new normal" but there's nothing normal about being away from eachother. But keep praying and trying to think positively. You can even start planning for PIR and take your time that way it'll help put your mind in a positive place
Comment by Asia on June 23, 2015 at 6:35pm
They say it gets easier....I'm still waiting for it to get easier
