For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

This is day 4 of my Fiance's boot camp and I really feel like I'm going crazy by not hearing from him. I've been trying to keep myself busy from thinking about how much I miss him. I've written him so many letters already. He's the type to always tell him, "Keep me informed, no matter how small." I've been doing just that but it's making me miss him a alot more. When will he be able to call or write back ? Emotional wreck. Any advice ladies ?

Abuon thank you I am just starting to get used to this "normal' and just hope he emails me soon. I try not to mention to him about this but I just keep thinking that today is going to be the day that I get to talk to him. I so need a hobby!!

Rikki it's normal. At the beginning off husband's first deployment his communications were shut down for over 2 weeks. I sent him emails every day, and once his came back up he told me he had received every single one but they're not allowed to send emails, use Facebook or make phone calls.

Yea I was super sad when he left and then I got an email from him and that was Monday and now its like I haven't heard from him and I just wish i have.

You're welcome! My boyfriend is deployed right now and this is our first deployment too. I am missing him a lot too but I just tell myself it's normal when you don't hear from them in over a week. And once I start feeling better is when I get some form of communication with him. :)

Thank you navy girlfriend...I needed to hear that like I know no news is good news but being so new to all of this and not having him here to talk to is like something I am not used to. Yea he told me about River City but I guess I didn't take it into consideration. Thank you so much for this.

Rikki...This is normal! Or maybe his ship is in river city? It's where they can't send out any communication to anyone, no emails, calls, mail. Etc. But they can receive it. Just be patient because this is 100% normal! Good luck:)

Alright ladies I need some advice. So this is my husbands first deployment and I have been emailing him like once a day telling him of the day before and just keeping him informed but I have not heard from him since Monday which to us is a really long time to not talk...so I am just wondering if its normal now I know things in the Navy aren't that "normal" but I just want to hear from him. Need you mind he works on the flight deck as well. I just need some insight
