I'm a Navy Wife and I created this group back when I was a girlfriend and my now husband had gone to bootcamp. Its funny because i joined this website when they had under 50 members. This website has been sooooo helpful and I met so many people on here that gave great advice. I made this group so that we could all come together and give eachother advice and share ideas. I see that this group is growing more and more by the day, Im happy to see that because so many wives/fiances/and girlfriends are clueless when it comes the military lifestyle. Not knowing what to expect and not knowing about deployments, bootcamp, duty stations, etc. I want this to be the place you all recommend because so many people on this site are knowledgeable and very helpful. Once again thanks for joining my group and i hope you get all the information you need. I dont get to log on as much as i used to but i try my best to get on here. So if u have any questions feel free to make a discussion topic and Im positive that it will get answered if not, inbox me :-) Take Care ♥

I know the overseas part. But why wouldn't I get put on his orders or page two after we get married. My daughter an I have to be on his page two. So we can move with him let's say if he would be in the states. I know it takes a process but I know we do get on his orders page two whatever you want to call it. It's required if your married from what I know.

My fiancé was told he would finish A school on December 17. I'm hoping it won't change but if it does I will be prepared for any changes. If I wanted to go see him before could I or is there not a chance since his school is so short. I'm going for sure to his graduation I just wanted to see if I could go before. I wanted to get married while he was there but since it's so short we are just going to do it after. So that means we will have to get all the paper work done so I can be put on his orders along with our daughter. So we can move with him. I do know the navy won't pay for the move though. He's planning on getting an apt for us off base until they have something open for us on base. I hope they give him enough leave time so we can all move together. Instead if him first and then us. All I can do is hope for the best.

If you know his rating/job he signed up for, we can give you a few more details, such as where he'll go to A school.

Boot camp then a school, then possibly c school. Depends on their job. Some of the more advanced jobs like Nukes or special ops will have more training. They really don't have much of a say if at all. Some people get lucky and they get to pick (not very often) and some people get lucky and put something down on their dream sheet that they have an open billet for and the detailer is feeling generous that day. Its really a luck of the draw.

My boyfriend just got back from meps and is getting his job assignment and ship date soon. I am completely new to this and am really upset so any comforting words of advice would be greatly appreciated. I know bootcamp is first, but what after that? How much say do they get in where they get based? Thanks everyone

My ID pic is horrid. My husband who was originally supposed to pick me up around noon his lunch time showed up at 9. I had 10 mins to get ready no time to do hair so I wore a beanie. Not allowed during pic so the angle of the front of my hair sticking up made it look like a wig, not to mention I sat waiting 2 hours and I was cranky and tired. I didn't smile, glad I rarely have to show it anywhere.

Does anyone have a boyfriend or husband in Bahrain? Do you get to talk often? My boyfriend is being stationed there for a year. Im worried about the communication, since we cant talk on the phone because of being charged. I was wondering how well skype worked.

my husband said they have recived hard orders he is getting them today i dont want to post on here but for example if it says he leaves to head to station on DECEMBER 9th can that change bc he said they arnt done with labs and stuff yet so there is no way that can happen but i was trying to explain to him why would they give you hard orders and have us get our moving stuff in order if that wasnt when you would be leaving
