I'm a Navy Wife and I created this group back when I was a girlfriend and my now husband had gone to bootcamp. Its funny because i joined this website when they had under 50 members. This website has been sooooo helpful and I met so many people on here that gave great advice. I made this group so that we could all come together and give eachother advice and share ideas. I see that this group is growing more and more by the day, Im happy to see that because so many wives/fiances/and girlfriends are clueless when it comes the military lifestyle. Not knowing what to expect and not knowing about deployments, bootcamp, duty stations, etc. I want this to be the place you all recommend because so many people on this site are knowledgeable and very helpful. Once again thanks for joining my group and i hope you get all the information you need. I dont get to log on as much as i used to but i try my best to get on here. So if u have any questions feel free to make a discussion topic and Im positive that it will get answered if not, inbox me :-) Take Care ♥

Anyone know is the wait time at school goes towards the time counted for moving a family? For example hubs a school is just under the 6 month cut off, if his wait for A school to start is a couple weeks it would be over 6 months, would there be a chance of them moving us. He keeps telling me they will, but his school is only 21 weeks, so I'm not 100%.

Proudnavywife I wish I still had the number but you can call the public affairs office on base from the legal department tell them what's going on and they will handle it. They took care of something for us that wasn't as major as housing

The issue is his DIV isn't doing well so we aren't supposed to have anymore calls till after battlestations, threeish weeks. So should I just write saying I need one?

So hubs when to bc over a month ago..his PIR is on 11/27. I've run into a couple small issues while he's been gone, the big one is our living situation needs to change. We are staying with family and have been sled to leave by mid Dec. I have recently turned in an app for an apt but they called me today and said even though I have proof of income, his check in our joint account, it doesn't mean anything because its not "mine" since he's not on the lease. Our recuiter didn't suggest we get a POA and it never crossed our minds before he left, but now idk what to do! Any suggestions would be great. If we had to I'm sure we could stay here till I get his signatureon a POA at PIR, but I'm totally ready to be out if this nightmare before then.
TIA lady's!

angie- yeah im very aware of that ! im not sure if you noticed i stated IF we CAN (MEANING permitted to in whatever legal way by authority) ... and he doesnt get in trouble for it , then we will :)

sailingtb5-  i agree completely with crystal ! it was really difficult for me at first.. just getting used to him not being here ... but it gets easier.. this website helps me out ALOT ! make sure to look out for a group created with his graduation date once you get it! lots of people join and you learn a lot from one another... make sure you keep yourself very busy. At first it will seem like an eternity...but i am a month in and now time is going by way faster! the day he left i held in as much as possible i promised i would.. then cried after so he woulnd't feel so sad ! any negativity from others that you may feel just brush it completely out of the way.  Not much people say or do can change how you feel.. just make sure you stay positive !! :)

Sailingtb5- the last night I spent with my boyfriend we just sat and he held me and we didn't talk. Honestly there wasn't much to say, we both knew it would suck but I just let him know that this was going to be a great opportunity and experience for him and no matter what I would be here for him when he came out and nothing would change that. It was nice to be in his company, I didn't cry because I knew it would hurt him. I only cried when I said goodbye in the morning. I know it's hard but try to be strong for him! He needs you more than anything right now, when he leaves you can break down :) haha. But it's gets better. It seems really bad at first but I'm halfway through my honeys bootcamp and I've only cried a couple times because I keep myself busy. It's rough and you will miss him, but I focus on how incredibly proud I am of my honey and how much stronger this will make my relationship. The navy makes our boys into men and will provide the both of you so many opportunities you may not have had. Stay strong and all of us here will be here for you :)

So my boyfriend starts basic tomorrow and tomorrow night is the last night I'll see him. I've been pretty good with the tears today it got pretty bad. I know I should be strong for him because he's moving away from everybody he loves and cares about but still it's really difficult. I know i'm probably not going to be any fun tomorrow on our last night together. But does anybody have anything have any words of advice?

We had friend's here who applied for the marriage as soon as they got to a school and it took about a month to get the chit approved, then they got married and she'll be on his orders. (depends on how soon they get orders though.)
