My son is still in boot camp and had a question about visiting home during A school(Great Lakes).  He wants to know when he will get some 'breaks' and he heard also that there were stages of A school where you got more freedom and stuff.  Can anyone answer this for me so I can let him know?

Ruth,

My son's PIR was 4/20 too, he just finished A-school last week.  He will be moving ships today.  Is your son still in Great Lakes?

My son PIR'd on 1/21 also (hi DebBon!) and is attending A school at GL. He will be an ET. He's still waiting for his A-school instructions, and is also waiting for his perm. ship assignment.  Looking forward to chatting and learning with A-school moms.

Good Morning All,

My Son just PIR'd on 1/21 and will be attending A School at GL.  I think he said he was a FA whatever that is. Navyfam I think my son is the same thing yours is he said Fireman Apprentice and is also an E-2. He was also suppose to be an E-3 but his recruiter didn't file the paperwork in time.

My daughter Amanda graduated BC on 9/10 and is at GL as a GM. Can't wait to meet and talk with other people who have someone in this rate.
