Angie- My heart goes out to you. Yes, you do know what to expect but like you saidy you also know what happens. You and your son will be in my prayers. My Sailor is also my youngest and was the last to leave home - it made it even harder with the empty nest thing. Keep us posted on his progress!! We want to know what he's doing and everytime you get a letter or phone call! :)

Thank you ladies, he seems pretty pumped up. April, we may have to thank our boys cause I know I'm getting a vacation to Hawaii much sooner now as a result of our Navy!

Mary, I just checked fares, LAX to Honolulu, $230 R/T, includes all taxes.

I bed Nick is jumping with joy!!! He has worked so hard to be #1 in his class, he surely deserves this! Tell him his Aunt Melissa may be dropping in for a visit.

We got orders TODAY! Can you say...Hawaii?!!!

Yep- USS Chung Hoon DDG - 93
Nick is excited, he got top pick and it was a choice of Hawaii or Norfolk. Gonna make for some pretty homecomings!

Good photo (as always Linda) Crane operator is that part of his Seabee training or is that a civilian school?

Isn't Nick looking pretty comfortable?!
