Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Hi, i am so happy to find this group. My son is in Guam, had been since May, 2016. I miss him so much he is my one and only child so it is hard. I would love to get to know other mom's who have children or other people with spouses or family in Guam.

Happy to be here. My dad was stationed in Guam for 3 years in the early 70's. My son is walking in his grandfather's footsteps.

SailorSalon mom - btw, you son is going to have the time of his life. My son has already learned how to scuba dive, hiked around the island, and went sky diving (though I wasn't thrilled about that last one).

SailorSalon mom - welcome to Guam mom's. 1st of all, if you have a Smart Phone, get the free app Time Buddy. As of writing this, it is 7:22 a.m. in Fort Worth, TX, time and 10:22 p.m. in Guam time. Most suspend their US cell phone service and get a Guam cell phone. Internet service is a must so that you can SKYPE for free. You will live for those moments to SKYPE with your son. :) Technology is amazing. He will either have to rely on friends for transportation or buy a used car. They apparently are easy to buy and sell with all the military people coming and going. Welcome to Guam Mom's!

Hi! My son graduated GL April 15 and is in MM A School, He was just given orders for Guam in July for 4 years ! He's very excited and I'm happy for him too, Thank God for the support of Navy Moms ! Any suggestions are appreciated.
