Joanie, they have them on base and off. The one on base might be full though. He would just have to go to the PO and ask.

Can anyone tell me if the P O Boxes the sailors can rent are on Naval Base Guam...or are they out in the city?

It does not have to be sent to a specific location. He can pick ut up at any western union in the world. When you fill out the info you will put  his name and pertinent info. He will have to have an ID but I am sure he already had a new mil id made or will get one on Monday. I think you can also give them a passcode so they can pick up the money. I have only used western union one many years ago. If there is one on the base it will be in the customer service area @ the nex. That is down near the uniform shop in the NEX.

Thanks Patricia...I'll do that...How will I know that I'm sending it to the location inside the NEX on his base?

Gerry: He is ok...just bruised up a little...He said they threw him down on the street.....

LuvinMatt; The 133 Ombudsman said they thought there was a street address I could send package from Fed EX to get things to him quicker....They'll let me know on Monday.

All of the people who he knows are on base with him....They are just deployed there for a few months....I don't know any other way to send mail other than an FPO address....USAA said they could only mail the replacement card to his address on record, wihich is our house...guess I'll keep looking....He'll have to check and see if there is a Western Union on the Naval Base.

It is  to the left right after you come out of base. I am sure he has driven by it 100 times. If he banks with USAA I would give them a call and see what they can do I am sure they have some kind of plan for stuff like this. Western Union is not through the banks. It looks like there is one over on the AFB. I have never used them so I dont know much about it. I would not send cash or cards to the FPO address maybe he has someone he can trust that lives off base and he can have it sent there?

Luvinmatt: He didn't know where navy fed was located...so it's right outside of base? He banks with USAA...he has one check he can cash, just didn't know where bank was located....The only address I have is FPO...don't have a street address....Would the Western Union go to the Navy Fed right outside base? Thanks for all the info.
