We use fb messenger. Works great and it's free. I am not sure what phone he has now and insurance he handles himself. I am sure the Navy has info on ins.
I would like to visit Guam, but it is so expensive. At least I would have lodging when I am there as my son rents a house.
nurserenee - Guam has phone company, ( I believe it's GTA ). My son has it and pays a little extra for the plan that allows him to call and text us. For insurance USAA is the best option. hope this helps.
What are recommendations for international car insurance and phone provider in Guam ?
Thanks Tx Mom. The baby will be very spoiled he's the first grandchild on both sides.
Hah, your son sounds like mine.....
Liz - my son is not an officer but he is a bachelor. Against our wishes, he bought a house in Guam. I believe he is now trying to convince a few other guys to rent a room from him. If you live off base, you get a sort of housing allowance. I believe housing is only going to get worse with the new marine base being built there. That might be good for my son's real estate investment... I don't know.
what do you all know about finding housing for a bachelor officer?
Regina - Congrats! :)
Tx mom: Well yes kind of, My First grandson is due October 2nd ( Mason Scott ) My son was suppose to leave this year but they asked him to stay 2 more years, so he will be there a total of 6 years. We will going to Guam for Thanksgiving this year!
I've already hit up travelocity! Hah.....thanks for the advice. I know I will have more questions....
