Dorothee, I told him I was not sharing him with anybody but my family, LOL. He knows who I mean, his so called dad, and he just said mom and laughed. He knows what I mean. I don't like to share him with his low life dad. I guess I will have to though. We have 2 cats and he is allergic to them. One is mine and one is my MIL's he is longed haired and I think that is the one he is allergic too, not sure. Anyways, Memorial Day weekend will be here while he is home and of course we will go camping and he will probably go with us. So looking forward to that.

I can sympathize Marcy, I see my son about once a year these days. Thought he might come home this summer, but not sure now, I think he may be getting new orders. And unfortunately not Hawaii, boo hoo.  But such is Navy life.  I know you'll have a great time with your son, I'm so happy for you.  And there's much you will do for him that he will really appreciate, you are his Mom :)

Oh and I think but not sure if I told you guys or not but my son is coming home at the end of this month. He will get here on the 20th of this month. I can't wait. I won't see him then until next year sometime. That is another thing I was hoping I would get some of the money to pay for his ticket but that isn't going to happen either. I just wanted to do something for him as well.

Dorothee, i would love to meet all of you when i do get there. I hope when we get our inheritence from our aunt and uncle I get enough that I can save to come down next summer. We are getting my MIL a trailor as well, see we moved in with her when we sold our house and so I could go to school full time. Well lets just say it is not working out to well with her and I anymore. I absolutely hate living with her and we use to have a great relationship. She drives me insane sometimes. Anyways we have 14 acres and we are buying her a trailor to put on the property. We are getting all the permits and stuff you need to get it and it can't come soon enough. Anyways, we are going to put some of the money towards that, I don't want to because we have never ever had  honeymoon and would like to come down there instead but if we do put it towards that then we won't have any debt. MIL signed her house over to my husband for a $1 and once I am out of school we will  not have any debt at all. We don't have any now either other than bills to pay, on one income that is enough. Well enough about that, sorry about going on and on about something stupid. I think once we do get the money I may not tell him all I get, so maybe I can surprise him with a trip down there. I know I should not do that but he does so much for me and sacrifices so much for us as well that I thought maybe it would be a good surprise for both of us. Although it won't be for me just him. I think what I will do is give him half and use the rest for that. Although I need  a new car too. Oh well we will see when the time comes too.

Crazy weather!  I'm on Oahu, Michelle; we had amazing lightening displays last night, and more this morning. How about those waterspouts! Rain over the Koolaus right now moving over to townside, guess it's not over yet..

Michelle, you must be so excited about your son coming back! Second half of deployment goes more quickly :)  I'll be watching for news and pictures when homecoming day arrives.

Beautiful prayer Marcy... thank you. And thanks for sharing the pictures of your Airman hard at work. I hope you'll be making that trip to Hawaii next year, and hope to meet you!

Here is a poem I found one time that is very beautiful

 - Friday Mom's Prayer for her Son I Give To You, My Son- I held him as an infant; I hugged him as a boy and through the years he has become my greatest pride and joy. I love him more than I can say, his life more precious than my own, but gone are the whims and notions of the little boy that I had known. For the years have passed so quickly since the time it all began and now he stands before me with the conviction of a man. He wants to serve his country, he states aloud with pride as I try to sort out the emotions that I'm feeling deep inside... a union of the uncertain fear, which I cannot control and the allegiance which lies deep within my patriotic soul. I trust that my years of guidance will serve as a strong foundation as he performs the duties requested from his beloved nation. God please guide him as he travels to the places our soldiers have bled and walk with him through pathways where those heroes' feet have tread. Oh Sweet Land of Liberty, humbly I give to you, my son praying you'll return him safely home when his work for you is done.

I saw that on the Today show this morning. I hope all is well with the storms.

Yeah, our white bunny has a nice house my hubby built for him. He even put siding on it to match the house, LOL. His name is snowball and he is funny because when I take Mia out to the bus at around 8 am he expects me to come out and see him. He races around the cage like a crazy rabbit  until I get there. He is funny and shedding really bad right now. Some people keep them in their house and that would be crazy because unless you have specific room for them, they would destroy your house by chewing on things.

Great prayer  Michelle. It is a great day that he has been killed. God Bless those that had to go and do it too. Love the Troops.

Well we were taking care of a wild bunny and it was doing very well for a couple of days and now it died today. I felt so bad for it. We tried everything. So when Mia gets home we will have a little funeral for it. I put it in a zip lock box, it was the smallest I could find for it. Mia is going to be so heart broken when she comes home but I told her it was not doing well this morning and that it may not be alive when she gets home. We do have a bunny and have had it for over a year now. He is white and a great little bunny. Hubby found this one in the yard on Thursday evening weed eating and rescued it. I have cried too and feel bad for Mia. We will put under the oak tree with our other bunny that died too. When we got the white one we had gotten 2 of them and the other one got a parasite and died 2 weeks after we got it. Bad luck with bunnies.

No Michelle I did not see that at all. I actually haven't seen much about Japan Tsunami in a long time. Glad to hear you are feeling better too. Sounds like you had it bad. I know myself here I have had a little cold. More just a cough and sore throat but enough to be a pain in the butt. I hope your son has a safe trip back home as well. Mine goes out at the end of June and will hopefully be home either next month or first part of June. I can't wait. He was home in January but it seems like a very long time and then after we see him in May or June we won't see him until next year sometime. We are to get inheritence from my aunt and uncle and I hope when we do I get enough I can save some to try and come down to Hawaii and see him next summer. Cross my fingers.
