Thanks for letting us know they are getting mail. Mark has had me on hold as to mailing anything to him. He had to leave behind a blanket his aunt made him and just received when they evacuated so I learned to crochet last week so I can make him an american flag afghan.  Believe it or not I'm about 1/3 finished! Not bad for a lefty.

Have a great day ladies!!  :)

Ohhhh That stinks Beth.  Gotta love a thunderstorm thou!  Isn't there a fox proof Chicken pen?  It is funny how people get pre-conceived notions... I didn't really think there was any more wildlife left in FL!

My son is Mark. He's been an adrenaline junkie from the time he was born. I was not surprised when he came and told me what he wanted his job to be an air rescue swimmer and then did it. He's pretty amazing I THINK. :)

He's been in almost 6 yrs now and I can't believe I am just finding this blog. You all sound so very nice and I love how you share your stories. I look forward to the read on a more regular basis.

I am new to this but want to say that I am so thankful there are this many mom's on line writing about their babies.  GROWN BABIES but our babies all the same.  My son is in Misawa also.  He was to come home and propose to his girl next weekend. Obviously that isn't going to happen. He is so awesome! We have called him Batman for all the years of growing up and now I have seen footage of him in action.  Thank you all for talking on line. It's very sweet to see the love on this website.

Thanks Beth.  I am very proud of him and very glad to see he is doing okay.  He hasn't had time to call so I am doing what everyone else who has a loved one in one of these situations, scanning all the news I can find!
