So my honey starts c-school for Advanced Lab Tech in June and I'm packing up and headed to San Antonio for the next 6-13 months (His clinical station is still tbd). Any advice? I've been to SA twice to be with him but at the time had no intention of moving there so I didn't bother to look around. Is anyone aware of what the cost of living is like around there? I'm coming from Seattle. Also, would it be safe to live around base. My sweetie doesn't want me to he as says it's questionable but I want to be as close to him as possible for convenience. I appreciate all your lovely advice in advance! God bless! .xoxoxo

Hello! We are planning on moving to San Antonio (my son and I) to live with my husband in June. This is when he graduates from A-School. Are you married? I was just wondering because I wanted to know if the Navy was going to pay for your move. I heard that if its 6 or more months then they will pay for it but I was just wondering about the whole process goes. As far as apartments..I've been looking online and saw some pretty cheap ones at Cenizo Flats - its about 10 minutes away from the base. I live in Virginia, so I don't know how nice they are or anything..all I know is what I saw from the picture and you know how that is - they always look nice in pictures. We haven't investigated much since we don't really know for sure his orders yet but I would look up some apartments then have your boyfriend/husband go looking at them every weekend..like plan it out for him so he doesn't have to do much. I know how men are lol. He can get info for you and maybe even take some pics, let you know if he thinks its a good place or not and how far away it is from the base. These are just suggestions..things my hubby and I are planning to do once we get his orders as well.
