Thanks

My son arrived last Saturday, November 2nd.  He already has his leave dates for the holidays...we gave him his laptop at the airport when he left GL to SA.  I believe leave will be granted from 19 Dec to 1 Jan.

Thanks everyone, we sent him a lap and lot of snacks and mircowavable foods. . I used both ups and usps, . The usps have priority flat rate boxes . With free tracking. Also made his cell phone in to a private hot spot that he gives abetter wifi signal. . And booked his flight home. I am a happy mom. Thanks for the help.

My daughter arrived there on the 9th and set up her mail yesterday, she told me that mail sometimes get lost through USPS. Something about it only getting tracked to San Antonio and then gets misplaced during its travel to the base? But UPS and Fedex track all the way to the base. I little more costly, but safer I guess. I read on the FB corpsman page where it took 3 weeks for a sailor to get a letter once that was sent from Colorado!

I have sent things using both ups and usps. The postal service arrive 3 days. Had had a flat rate with free 50.00 insurance
