For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Visiting My Sailor This Weekend

Visiting my sailor this weekend. He just found out they have 'duty section' so he can't leave the base this Friday. Anything I can do to fix it? Lameeeee. :'( What if I booked a room on base? Does that work? lol

LOL! I am visitng my sailor this weekend too and found out that he had duty as well! :(

If I recall correctly, I think they can trade with someone else. The problem will be finding someone willing to take their duty but find out about that.

I will be in SA this weekend too! My parents and I are flying in to visit our sailor. My hubby had to stay home but hopes to head out there sometime in May for a visit. About graduation - is May 21st confirmed? What are you hearing?

Thanks ladies for the info. I'm not sure how far in advance they know these things but I specifically remember asking him to check it out in advance and make arrangements if he could. Men! *sigh* lol. Anyhow for you gals that will be in SA this weekend. Where are y'all staying? I'll be staying The Crockett right behind the Alamo! We should have a meet and greet lol.

I really don't know where ANYTHING is I think Ive change my hotel about a dozen times!
