Barefoot all the time. Did a trail ride once where I got them shoed, but they slid on the asphalt, so I think I'll leave em barefoot. I never knew horse flies were bigger than silver dollars. And I've tried every fly spray (even repel XX) and nothing gets rid of those horrible horse flies.. WE have bot flies year round so those rotational worming schedules DO NOT WORK in Deep East TX because 2 of them don't even treat bot flies.
I've been trying to catch my black 2 yr old filly. She's hard to catch cuz her mama is. Plus she had 2 shots a day for one month and figured we were devils. So Today, I closed the gates on the riding arena area (the grounds not sand, just grass) and I still couldn't catch her. So I left her alone and came back 6 hrs later and just walked up to her and she let me get her. Weird girl.
Kinda like when you have kids. You always take lots of pictures of the first one, right? Well, after 28 horses and imprinting, round pen work, manners, ground work, etc. I had my acl get detached and had knee surgery so I couldn't work the horses in 2005, 2006, 2007. Had physical therapy every year, but nothing really helped. Can't run, squat, go up and down stairs, etc. The older horses are so gentled and great on the trails, and the two to four year old ;horses arn't even broke yet.

We have standing water everywhere in large areas. The so called pond that was dry as a bone is now flooded and overflowing the make shift dam. ITs a run off and we tried to use our tractor to dig it deeper and try to have water there when we went away on week-ends. It has been in the 30's but the afternoon today is gonna be 67. Back and forth. Hate TX weather. Never know how to dress.

Beth, congrats on the wings pinned on!!! How proud are you? That is all so exciting. When we went to Old Spring Town with some Navy Moms 2 week-ends ago, my dad (85) had his Army cap on. He was quick to say it was the Army/Air Corp back then, and he designed more Navy planes and copters in his lifetime, than planes for the Army! LOL

Thanks Pat for the helpful info.
Kelly, I'm sorry I havn't been on in time to answer your question. Have you gone to the FC ET group and asked Mary (mother of Nick)?
I should have found out from my son, but he didn't tell me when his A school grad was! The stinker! He said it was No big deal. It was to me, and not that I could have gone, but I'd like to have had someone take a picture! Your son should know, and I would imagine he's had it
already by now since I've been driving picking up sons car in OK.
Congratulations on his graduation from A school. Where is his C school?
